India is facing job crisis or skill crisis? First of all, let us know that why again and again this question is raised in India. The obvious reasons are the research studies that are conducted in these areas and the numbers that are brought up by the facts published every year. Unemployment in India is projected to witness marginal increase between 2017 and 2018, signalling stagnation in job creation in the country, according to a UN labour report. Whereas according to India Skills Report 2017 by Wheebox, it stated that India has a population of over 1.2 billion almost half of which is already eligible to work, and yet there are so many jobs which remain unfilled in the absence of right people with required skills. So you can see clearly that there is a gap between the above two statements that are published by research agencies.
